Come and race at the most beautiful triathlon venue in Northwest Arkansas! Mount Sequoyah offers incredible views and lots of shade. We will start in a heated, outdoor pool, followed by a scenic but challenging loop around the top of the mountain before finishing on a paved flat run course that will take you across the finish line with some additional fun waiting for racers. 

 

Join us at the Mount Sequoyah Triathlon, a unique event designed for children aged 5-15 and their parents. Experience the thrill of a triathlon in a fun and safe environment.

Registration includes a swim cap, race sticker, finisher medal, live race results, race photos and awards for the top finishers in each age and post-race food, drink and music. Chafed & Cranky will be on-site and available to spectators before and after the race.

PARKING AND DIRECTIONS FROM MAIN ENTRANCE VIA N ASSEMBLY RD (map):

Go straight through the main entrance of Mount Sequoyah Education and Retreat Center to the top of the hill. Parking signs and directions will be in place. There will be volunteers directing athletes and volunteers to specific parking areas. Please follow their directions for parking to avoid interfering with the run course.  

5 to 8 Years Old

  • Swim: 25 yards (map)

  • Bike: 1 miles (1 loop) (map)

  • Run: 1/2 mile (map)

9 to 12 Years Old

  • Swim: 75 yards (map)

  • Bike: 2 miles (2 loops) (map)

  • Run: 1 miles (map)

13 to 15 Years Old

  • Swim: 150 yards (map)

  • Bike: 3 miles (3 loops) (map)

  • Run: 1.5 miles (map)

AGE DIVISIONS AND DISTANCES:

Note: Racing age is a child’s age at the end of the year (12/31/25) 

ON COURSE NUTRITION: Water on the run for all athletes. 

COURSE SUPPORT: Fayetteville Police Department will be helping close the road while athletes are biking. 

FINISH LINE FUN: Food, drinks, and music at the finish line! Invite family and friends to spectate. 

AWARDS:  
Listen for announcements. We will do the awards as soon as the final athlete finishes. Awards will be given to the top 3 males and females in each age group:  
Ages 5, 6, 7, 8
Ages 9, 10, 11, 12
Ages 13, 14, 15

INCLEMENT WEATHER & REFUND POLICY: 
There is NO inclement weather makeup date. In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to cancel/alter/modify the race/course for safety concerns. In any case there will be No Refunds of race entry fees. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid. There is no complementary race entry to a future race. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe, and exciting event for all. Any decision we make to go forth with the race is based on the overall event safety. We have a strict NO REFUND policy. 

PHOTO DISCLAIMER:
There may be a photographer on site capturing pictures of the event. Since this is a public event, we reserve the right to post photos on our social media or agency website. Photos may also be used in promotional materials.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION:
Spectators are not only welcomed but encouraged! For the racers, spectators and cheering crowds is what can make a good race turn into a great race. If you have ever raced before, you know how helpful it is having someone you know supporting you and even hearing cheers from complete strangers. Come out and enjoy a beautiful venue while supporting some amazing triathletes.


We are excited to be able to offer discounted rates to stay at Mount Sequoyah. Wake up, walk out your door and you are on the race course! Make a whole weekend out of it and enjoy everything that Northwest Arkansas has to offer. Be sure to make your reservation by April 23rd to secure the discounted rate. 

Instructions for Booking:

  • Go to the "Book Now" tab on the website

  • Click on the "Book Now" button again

  • Click on "I Have a Group Number"

  • Enter group number MSTriathlon

  • Select a room and book!

  • Guests can also call the office at (479) 443-4531 to book

  • Please note that the room block will close one month prior to the arrival. Teams can still book with Mount Sequoyah after their room block closes but at standard room rates.

RACE THE OZARKS YOUTH TRIATHLON SERIES

An Arkansas and Southwest Missouri Youth Triathlon series designed to bring together young and growing youth triathletes. The included events provide a fun atmosphere and bring a healthy level of competition outside of the individual races. Compete across Arkansas and SW Missouri to earn points and create a memorable summer. Trifest for MS Splash & Dash, Mount Sequoyah Triathlon, ConcreteKIDS Triathlon, Conway Kids Triathlon, Broken Sword Kids Triathlon, Trifest for MS.

SERIES SCORING:

  • Race age based on 12/31/25

  • Series Age group awards for 6-15 years old

  • The top 4 scores/placements for each athlete will make up their series score. These 4 scores will be added together to create a cumulative score for the series (athletes can race more than 4 times)

  • 6-8 year-olds required to participate in a minimum of 3 races to qualify for the series with 1 race outside of your zone. (Zones are SWMO, NWA, and Central AR)

  • 9-15 year-olds required to participate in a minimum of 4 races to qualify for the series with 1 race outside of your zone. (Zones are SWMO, NWA, and Central AR)

  • 1st place in an event scores 50pts with each place under that scoring 2 less pts. All places past 25th will score 2pts

  • Series award/swag for athletes who compete in all 6 races.
